Regular Season Round 16: AZS UMCS - KK Warszawa 76-52

Very expected game in Lublin where 7th ranked KK Warszawa (6-9) was crushed by second ranked AZS UMCS (12-4) 76-52 on Saturday. AZS UMCS forced 19 KK Warszawa turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Rafal Krol (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Mateusz Wisniewski (202-91) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side power forward Dariusz Sarnacki (196-93) responded with 7 points and 11 rebounds and Przemyslaw Lewandowski (198-78, agency: Promotex) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. KK Warszawa's coach Andrzej Kierlewicz gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. AZS UMCS have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group B with 12-4 record having just three points less than leader Kotwica. KK Warszawa lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. AZS UMCS will face league's leader Ksiezak Lowicz on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KK Warszawa's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Warszawa Shmoolky W-wa.
