Barcelona has finally registered their first victory this season after 14 consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Leganes (9-6) 56-52. Barcelona made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for guard Vanesa Verbo (174-94) who led her team to a victory with 15 points. Power forward Claudia Baraut (185-94) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Barcelona's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Serbian forward Tatjana Zivanovic (189-90) answered with 11 points and 8 rebounds and French forward Lola De Angelis (179-93) added 14 points in the effort for Leganes. Newly promoted Barcelona maintains fourteenth place in Group B with 1-14 record. Leganes at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Barcelona's next round opponent will be league's leader Alcobendas on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
