A1 top team - Kvarner (12-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Ribola Kastela (2-11) in Rijeka 97-69. The game without a history. Kvarner led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Ribola Kastela's 32. Kvarner forced 21 Ribola Kastela turnovers. Point guard Mauro Veljacic (183-93) notched 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and guard Paolo Marinelli (191-95) supported him with 23 points. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by guard Nikola Dosen (190-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) did not help to save the game for Ribola Kastela. Swingman Stipe Rezic (201-89) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kvarner have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-1 record. Ribola Kastela lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost.
