Regular Season Round 15: AGOR - Kolossos 95-87

An interesting game took place in Rethymno where higher ranked Kolossos (6-9) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked AGOR (5-10) 95-87 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kolossos won third quarter 26-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when AGOR won last quarter 29-22. They made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Kolossos was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) helped adding 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five AGOR players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama, agency: Octagon Europe) with 15 points and 4 assists and forward Sotirios Manolopoulos (208-87) scored 14 points. Kolossos' coach Aris Likogiannis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AGOR moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Lavrio. Loser Kolossos dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. AGOR will face league's second-placed Panathinaikos in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
