TBL top team - Stelmet (15-2) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat sixteenth ranked Slask (3-14) in Zielona Gora 83-78. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 24-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Stelmet made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. American point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: Mississippi St., agency: Three Eye Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) contributed with 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. Ukrainian-American forward Denis Ikovlev (200-86, college: Nevada) answered with 22 points and 6 assists and naturalized Ukrainian Vitaliy Kovalenko (204-84) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Slask. Four Slask players scored in double figures. Stelmet have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-2 record. Slask at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Start Lublin. Stelmet are looking forward to face Wilki Morskie (#8) in Szczecin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Slask will play at home against Trefl (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
