Regular Season Round 16: Stal SW - Ostrow Mazow. 90-89

Important game to mention about took place in Stalowa Wola. Eighth ranked Stal SW (7-9) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Ostrow Mazow. (9-7) 90-89 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ostrow Mazow.. The winners were led by guard Sylwester Konieczny (180-91) who scored that evening 30 points and point guard Rafal Partyka (184-79) supported him with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 38 points (!!!) and 5 assists by swingman Michal Wojtynski (193-89) did not help to save the game for Ostrow Mazow.. Forward Piotr Barszcz (198-81) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Five Stal SW and four Ostrow Mazow. players scored in double figures. Stal SW moved-up to seventh place in Group B. Ostrow Mazow. at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Stal SW will play against Polonia W-wa (#12) in Warszawa in the next round where they are favorite. Ostrow Mazow. will play at home against Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
