There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Badajoz BF (5-10) beat at home higher ranked Maquinaria Ensino (8-7) 80-75 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-75. It was a great evening for Brazilian-Portuguese forward Larisse Lima (185-88) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points and 6 rebounds. Swedish guard Ozlem Alkan (174-90) helped adding 19 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Tamara Montero (168-94) with 22 points and 4 steals and forward Raquel Asensio (178-83) scored 21 points and 4 steals. Badajoz BF moved-up to tenth place in Group A, which they share with RC Celta. Loser Maquinaria Ensino keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Badajoz BF will face higher ranked Adareva (#4) in SC Laguna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
