The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Chanson V-M (0-1) in Shizuoka. Hosts were defeated by Toyota A. (1-0) 87-70. Toyota A. shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Mika Kurihara (178-89) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Kaede Kondo (173-91) contributed with 16 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. Toyota A.'s coach Don Beck allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!) and guard Minaho Minamiminoru (167-93) added 13 points in the effort for Chanson V-M. Toyota A. will play against Denso Iris (#5) in Kariya in the next round. Chanson V-M will have a break next round.
