Second Stage Round 1: Mitsubishi K. - Hitachi Cougars 78-41

Mitsubishi K. used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Hitachinaka 78-41. Mitsubishi K. outrebounded Hitachi Cougars 62-34 including a 32-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for international center Asako O (189-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Yuka Kosuge (180-91) contributed with 4 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Mitsubishi K. players scored in double figures.
