Eleventh-ranked Zamarat (6-11) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Argon Uni Girona (12-5). Argon Uni Girona managed to secure only three-point victory 68-65. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Zamarat won third quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Argon Uni Girona forced 20 Zamarat turnovers and outrebounded them 34-23 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American-Angolan Italee Lucas (175-89, college: N.Carolina, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who scored 18 points. American-FYR Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Bosnian center Dragana Svitlica (190-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Mariona Ortiz (183-92) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Mann Filter. Zamarat at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Argon Uni Girona's next round opponent will be Universitario de Ferrol (#7) on the road. Zamarat will play against the league's second-placed Conquero (#2) and hope to win that game.
