Regular Season Round 16: Lucca - Vigarano 75-49

Very expected game when 11th ranked Vigarano (4-12) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Lucca (15-1) 75-49 on Sunday. The game without a history. Lucca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vigarano's 28. Lucca forced 25 Vigarano turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-New Zealand guard Jillian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and American swingman Julie Wojta (183-89, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) who added 9 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Amber Orrange (170-93, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) responded with 17 points and her fellow American import power forward Samantha Ostarello (188-91, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lucca have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Ragusa. Loser Vigarano dropped to the twelfth place with 12 games lost. Lucca will meet Battipaglia (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vigarano will play against the league's leader Ragusa and hope to secure a win.
