The game with biggest result difference took place in Doha. Local Al Ahli (1-13) was outscored by third ranked Al Gharafa (12-2) 108-69. The game without a history. Al Gharafa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Al Ahli's players. The winners were led by international swingman Abdulrahman Saad (185-96) who scored that evening 24 points and 4 assists and American point guard Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern) supported him with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Al Gharafa players scored in double figures. Even 30 points by American guard Terrence Joyner (190-88, college: Miss.Valley St.) did not help to save the game for Al Ahli. Ndoye Elhadj added 11 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al Gharafa maintains third position with 12-2 record behind leader Al Sadd. Al Ahli lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Al Gharafa's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Shamal.
