Regular Season Round 16: Orvieto - Di Lupari 74-70

We should mention about the upset which took place in Orvieto, where higher ranked Di Lupari (8-8) lost to twelfth ranked Orvieto (5-11) in a road game 70-74. Di Lupari was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 21-11 third quarter run of Orvieto. They also forced 21 Di Lupari turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian swingman Jelena Ivezic (182-84) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. Guard Valentina Baldelli (170-89, agency: SPORTlab Agency) contributed with 16 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Orvieto players scored in double figures. American guard Jori Davis (175-89, college: Indiana, agency: LBM Management) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her twelve free throws !!!) and Romanian Florina Pascalau (193-82) added 17 points in the effort for Di Lupari. Orvieto moved-up to eleventh place. Di Lupari at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Orvieto will play against Cagliari CUS (#13) on the road in the next round. Di Lupari will play against San Giovanni (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
