Very important is a road loss of third ranked Guaros (7-4) against eighth ranked Guaiqueries (4-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Guaros were defeated by Guaiqueries in Porlamar 86-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Guaros. Guaros were ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 50-33 second half run of Guaiqueries. Dominican Victor Liz (188-86) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Puerto Rican guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-91) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Guaiqueries players scored in double figures. Guaiqueries' coach Gustavo Aranzana allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro Sports) responded with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Damien Wilkins (198-80, college: Georgia, agency: Priority Sports) scored 20 points. Guaiqueries maintains eighth position with 4-5 record. Guaros at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Cocodrilos and Bucaneros.
