Very important is a road loss of second ranked Cecina (13-5) against eleventh ranked Rimini (8-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Cecina was defeated by Rimini in a tough game in Rimini 65-73. They made 24-of-27 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Strangely Cecina outrebounded Rimini 36-24 including 22 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Cecina helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was naturalized Spanish guard Daniel Perez (189-97) who scored 18 points and 4 assists. Guard Lorenzo Panzini (188-90, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Antonio Gambolati (205-81, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds and Daniele Toscano (196-93, agency: Players Group) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
