The most exciting game of round 33 in the CBA took place in Hangzhou. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Beijing Ducks (21-12) to sixth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (24-9) 100-97 on Sunday evening. Beijing Ducks were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 26-15 charge of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions, which allowed them to win the game. They made 31-of-40 free shots (77.5 percent) during the game, while Beijing Ducks only scored eleven points from the stripe. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. 28 personal fouls committed by Beijing Ducks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga, agency: Priority Sports) who scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' coach ChunJiang Li used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Guangdong ST. Defending champion Beijing Ducks keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions is looking forward to face league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Beijing Ducks will play on the road against Jiangsu Dragons (#9) in Nanjing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
