Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tehran: Chemidor (#5) and Army (#9). Chemidor (14-6) won against visiting Army (3-18) 71-56. The game was mostly controlled by Chemidor. Army was better in third quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chemidor forced 19 Army turnovers and outrebounded them 34-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. Ivorian-French Herve Toure (205-82) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and international Oshin Sahakian (200-86) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by the former international power forward Hossein Rahmati (203-93) did not help to save the game for Army. The former international Vahid Dalirzahan (199-95) added 17 points for lost side. Army's coach Saeed Khani tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chemidor moved-up to fourth place. Army lost fifth consecutive game. Army at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with 18 games lost. Chemidor's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tehran Army.
