Regular Season Round 20: Spojnia - Biofarm PZN 58-81

We should mention about the upset which took place in Stargard, where higher ranked Spojnia (9-11) was outleveled at home by fourteenth ranked Biofarm PZN (6-14) 81-58. The winners were led by point guard Piotr Wieloch (182-94) who scored that evening 20 points and swingman Tomasz Smorawinski (196-87) supported him with 19 points. Even 14 points and 7 assists by guard Lukasz Pacocha (185-82) did not help to save the game for Spojnia. Center Karol Pytys (202-85) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Biofarm PZN moved-up to thirteenth place. Spojnia lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Biofarm PZN's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Sokol Lancut at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
