The game in Artemisa was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Tigres (5-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Los Toros (3-5). Tigres defeated Los Toros 100-89. Strangely Los Toros outrebounded Tigres 117-40 including a 107-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Luis Castillo who scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Yoanqui Mersia chipped in 24 points. Five Tigres players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) produced 39 points (!!!) and 9 steals and Sandro Marrero added 14 points and 6 steals respectively for the hosts. Tigres moved-up to second place, which they share with Ciego de Avila and Villa Clara. Los Toros at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Tigres' next round opponent will be league's leader Capitalinos in La Habana and it will be for sure the game of the week. Los Toros will play at home against the league's second-placed Villa Clara (#2) and hope to win that game.
