Regular Season Round 34: Sichuan BW - Guangdong ST 101-93

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Guandong Tigers' (24-10) road loss to fourth ranked Sichuan BW (26-8) 93-101 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 57-44 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sichuan BW dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Guandong Tigers' 34. They outrebounded Guandong Tigers 56-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. Quite impressive performance for Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 26 rebounds. American point guard Justin Dentmon (183-85, college: Washington) contributed with 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists for the winners. Four Sichuan BW players scored in double figures. The former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) replied with 38 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Peng Zhou (210-89) added 19 points in the effort for Guandong Tigers. Guandong Tigers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sichuan BW moved-up to third place, which they share with Shandong FB. Loser Guandong Tigers keep the fifth position with ten games lost. Sichuan BW will face Beijing Ducks (#7) on the road in the next round. Guandong Tigers will play against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank and hope to win that game.
