LigaA round 42 caused change at the leadership position. Eleventh defeat of league's leader Obras Basket (18-11) against second ranked Libertad Sunchales (19-13) 86-60 was the most important game of the last round. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Libertad Sunchales. Obras Basket managed to win fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Libertad Sunchales dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Obras Basket's 32. It was a good game for American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 9 rebounds. Marcos Saglietti (190-86) contributed with 13 points for the winners. American forward Dennis Horner (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds and international center Marcos Delia (209-92) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Obras Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Libertad Sunchales maintains second position with 19-13 record having just four point less than leader Olimpico LB. Obras Basket at the other side still keeps top place with 11 games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Olimpico LB who have the same record. Obras Basket will play next round against Sionista trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Libertad Sunchales will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Olimpico de La Banda at home.
