Liga Superior top team - Guantanamo (9-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Villa Clara (0-10) in Santa Clara 64-59. Guantanamo forced 22 Villa Clara turnovers. Forward Sandra Enamorado (174-84) notched 13 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Oslaidis Rojas (180-91) supported her with 10 points and 4 steals. Guantanamo's coach Adrian Laffita allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 16 points and 4 steals by forward Eilen Gilbert (183-98) did not help to save the game for Villa Clara. Guard Lianyi Fernandez (175-98) added 10 points and 6 assists for lost side. Four Villa Clara players scored in double figures. Guantanamo have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record.
