The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tehran: Chemidor (#4) and Azad (#3). Chemidor (15-6) won against visiting Azad (15-8) 68-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Azad. 29 personal fouls committed by Azad helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international point guard Farid Aslani (183-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 4 assists. Ivorian-French Herve Toure (205-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Rouzbeh Arghavan (214-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Javad Davari (185-83) added 16 points in the effort for Azad. Chemidor moved-up to third place. Azad at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Chemidor are looking forward to face Arak (#4) on the road in the next round. Azad will play against Samen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
