The most exciting game of round 16 in the LPB took place in La Guaira. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Panteras (6-8) to third ranked Bucaneros (9-4) 71-70 on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 18-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Bucaneros forced 19 Panteras turnovers.
