Regular Season Round 35: Jiangsu TX - Shanghai S. 95-100

Everything went according to plan when thirteenth ranked Shanghai Sharks (16-19) beat on the road 16th ranked Jiangsu TX (11-24) 100-95 on Friday. Jiangsu TX was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for American point guard A.J. Price (188-86, college: Connecticut) who led his team to a victory scoring 39 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Liang Cai (203-92) helped adding 23 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Five Jiangsu TX players scored in double figures. Shanghai Sharks moved-up to twelfth place. Jiangsu TX lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with 24 games lost. Shanghai Sharks will face higher ranked Shandong Bulls (#4) in Jinan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jiangsu TX will play on the road against Guandong Tigers (#5) in Dongguan and hope to win that game.
