Regular Season Round 35: Guangdong ST - Zhejiang CB 127-102

Not a big story in a game in Dongguan where 8th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (20-15) was rolled over by fifth ranked Guandong Tigers (25-10) 127-102 on Friday. The game without a history. Guandong Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Guandong Tigers outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 41-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for the former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) helped adding 27 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Yubo Xia (195-92) responded with 25 points and 5 assists and forward Lu Yiwen (199-95) scored 15 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guandong Tigers maintains fifth place with 25-10 record, which they share with Guangsha L. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. Guandong Tigers will face Jiangsu TX (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Bayi Rockets (#19) and hope to win that game.
