Regular Season Round 30: Union SF - Comunicaciones 79-59

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Comunicaciones (8-14) was smashed by third ranked Union SF (14-11) in Santa Fe 79-59 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 49-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for point guard Leonardo Vildoza (180-94) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Alejandro Reinick (203-78) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Paraguayan forward Jose Fabio (200-77) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Jordan Clarke (203-89, college: Drake) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Comunicaciones. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Union SF moved-up to second place. Comunicaciones lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Union SF will face Echague (#5) in Parana in the next round. Comunicaciones will play at home against Obera TC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
