Regular Season Round 19: Santarcangelo - Valsesia 76-78

A very interesting game took place in Santarcangelo. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Santarcangelo (12-7) to eighth ranked Valsesia (11-8) 78-76 on Saturday evening. Guard Nicolo Gatti (190-91) fired 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Francesco Paolin (189-95) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Valsesia's coach Lorenzo Pansa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Swingman Luca Bedetti (193-89, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and center Alberto Saponi (202-85) added 14 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Santarcangelo players scored in double figures. Valsesia moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Vicenza. Newly promoted Santarcangelo keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Valsesia's next round opponent will be Oleggio (#11) at home. Santarcangelo will play against Monsummano (#8) and hope to win that game.
