Very expected game when 14th ranked Fondi (3-16) lost at home to ninth ranked Empoli (11-8) 73-63 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for forward Matteo Samoggia (196-90) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Daniele Mariotti (186-84) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Empoli players scored in double figures. Swingman Angelo Luzza (197-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Joel Myers (183-95) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Fondi.
