Regular Season Round 14: LTB 29 - Roche 57-80

The game in Pleyber-Christ supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Roche (10-4) played at the court of 5th ranked LTB 29 (8-6). Roche smashed LTB 29 80-57. It looked good early as LTB 29 took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Roche had a 19-5 second period charge getting the lead and LTB 29 was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 57-80. They dominated on the defensive end, holding LTB 29 to just 5 points in second quarter. Roche forced 26 LTB 29 turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Roche especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Johana Tayeau (173-89) contributed with 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Roche players scored in double figures. Guard Marie Butard (174-86) replied with 18 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88, agency: Comsport) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for LTB 29. Roche maintains third position with 10-4 record having just three points less than leader Aulnoye. LTB 29 at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Reims. Roche will play against league's leader Aulnoye at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. LTB 29 will play against Montbrison (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
