Bottom-ranked Louaize (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to fourth ranked Hoops Club (4-2) 72-64 on Saturday evening. Louaize trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 16-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-72 at the end of the game. Hoops Club forced 20 Louaize turnovers. The former international swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) fired 26 points for the winners. Swingman Khalil Aoun (195-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Four Hoops Club players scored in double figures. American guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals and the other American import forward Alex Okafor (202-87, college: Princeton) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Hoops Club. They moved-up to third place. Louaize lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with six games lost. Hoops Club's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beirut Homenetmen.
