Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Faenza (8-11) lost on the road to second ranked Cento (14-5) 76-71 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Cento made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for guard Marco Contento (190-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists. Power forward Michele Benfatto (205-85) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Emanuele Pini (197-95) answered with 17 points and guard Giovanni Penserini (193-88) added 13 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Faenza. Cento maintains second place in B with 14-5 record having just three points less than leader Forli. Newly promoted Faenza dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Cento will face Rimini (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Faenza will play against Cecina and hope to win that game.
