Another interesting game was again a derby match of two teams from Doha: Qatar Sports Club (#9) and Al Ahli (#10). Qatar Sports Club (3-12) won against visiting Al Ahli (1-14) 93-82. Qatar Sports Club shot 31 for 44 from the free-throw line, while Al Ahli only scored twelve points from the stripe. Qatar Sports Club forced 22 Al Ahli turnovers. 31 personal fouls committed by Al Ahli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Dontell Jefferson (196-83, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory with 46 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. The other American import power forward Malcolm White (205-88, college: LSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American Darius Rice (208-82, college: Miami, FL) replied with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and Ndoye Elhadj added 16 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals in the effort for Al Ahli. Qatar Sports Club moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Al Arabi. Al Ahli lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Qatar Sports Club's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Shamal.
