Regular Season Round 16: Granada - Valladolid 86-62

Date: January 30, 2016
The game with biggest result difference took place in Granada. Local CB Granada (10-6) outscored 5th ranked Blancos de Rueda (7-9) 86-62 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by CB Granada. Blancos de Rueda was better in fourth quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Blancos de Rueda 47-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. CB Granada shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American guard John Schoof (196, college: American, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) fired 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Duane James (196-83, college: Binghamton, agency: Duran International) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. James is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Georgian center Shota Gelazonia (205-94) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and British forward Rowell Graham (197-94) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Granada have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Blancos de Rueda dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. CB Granada will face Zornotza (#12) in Amorebieta-Echano in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Blancos de Rueda will play at home against Moron and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
