A very interesting game took place in Mulhouse. It ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Mulhouse Basket (8-11) to seventeenth ranked Vitre (6-13) 74-71 on Saturday evening. Mulhouse Basket was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 24-20 charge of Vitre, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Wilbert Brown (199-84, college: Niagara) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Antoine Belkessa (186-88) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Anthony Brown (203-86, college: Oklahoma St., agency: Inception Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Parfait Njiba (198-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Mulhouse Basket. Four Mulhouse Basket players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Vitre maintains seventeenth place with 6-13 record. Mulhouse Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Vitre's next round opponent will be higher ranked UB Chartres (#10) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
