Regular Season Round 15: Poitiers - Boulazac 76-66

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Poitiers (8-7) won against at home higher ranked Boulazac Basket (8-7) 76-66 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 27-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Poitiers players scored in double figures. Power forward Alexis Tanghe (206-90) answered with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American David Jackson (195-86, college: W.Illinois) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Boulazac Basket's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Poitiers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Boulazac Basket. Poitiers will face Denain Voltaire (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Boulazac Basket will play against Orchesien BC (#18) and hope to win that game.
