Thirteenth-ranked El Olivar (5-11) made lots of trouble for first ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (12-4) in Avila. Fontedoso Carrefour managed to secure only two-point victory 61-59. However their fans expected much easier game. El Olivar was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 31-28 second half run of Fontedoso Carrefour. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Carlos Toledo (198-94, agency: Duran International) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian forward Zygimantas Riauka (206-93, college: Wisc.-Parkside) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Slovakian guard Marek Dolezaj (195-98) added 4 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for El Olivar. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fontedoso Carrefour maintains first position with 12-4 record, which they share with Marin. El Olivar lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with 11 games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour will play against Meridiano Alicante (#5) on the road in the next round. El Olivar will play against the league's leader Marin (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
