There was a minor upset when 10th ranked San Salvatore (7-10) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Bolzano (5-12) 72-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bolzano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding San Salvatore to just 7 points in second quarter. Bolzano made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Guard Elena Zambarda (180-87) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and point guard Viviana Giordano (167-89) chipped in 10 points and 12 rebounds. Five Bolzano players scored in double figures. Bolzano's coach Walter Bazzan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and forward Giorgia Manfrc (183-92) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. Bolzano moved-up to twelfth place in A2. Loser San Salvatore keeps the tenth position with ten games lost.
