Rather expected game when 5th ranked Binnenland (7-9) lost to second ranked Loon Lions (11-3) in Landsmeer 49-59 on Saturday. It was a good game for international guard Tanya Broering (178-84) who led her team to a victory with 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Marlous Nieuwveen (196-80) contributed with 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Zera Butter (179-92) replied with 19 points and the former international forward Eline Kasius (190-92) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Binnenland. Binnenland's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Loon Lions maintains second position with 11-3 record behind leader Den Helder. Binnenland at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. Loon Lions are looking forward to face bottom-ranked CTO (#7) in Amsterdam in the next round where they are favorite. Binnenland will have a break next round.
