Seria A1 round 17 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Ragusa (15-2) against twelfth ranked Vigarano (5-12) 84-68 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Ragusa. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-68. American players dominated the game. Power forward Samantha Ostarello (188-91, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds.
