We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Malaga where 7th ranked Novaschool (3-9) was defeated by eighth ranked CAM E.Soler (3-9) 68-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by CAM E.Soler. Novaschool was better in fourth quarter 12-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CAM E.Soler forced 19 Novaschool turnovers. Center Jorge Rodriguez (198-94) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Damon Sherman-Newsome (196, college: Colgate) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four CAM E.Soler players scored in double figures. Forward Andres Diaz (196-96) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Joaquin Reyes (196-96) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Novaschool's coach let to play ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. CAM E.Soler moved-up to seventh place in Group D-East, which they share with defeated Novaschool. CAM E.Soler will face higher ranked Cordoba (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
