Regular Season Round 7: Byblos - Tadamon 83-81

The most exciting game of round 7 in the Pepsi LBL took place in Byblos. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Tadamon (3-3) to seventh ranked Byblos (2-4) 83-81 on Sunday evening. 27 personal fouls committed by Tadamon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!). Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) helped adding 14 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian swingman Branko Cvetkovic (200-84) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Tadamon players scored in double figures. Byblos maintains seventh place with 2-4 record. Tadamon at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Byblos are looking forward to face Champville (#8) in Dik El Mehdi in the next round. Tadamon will play against Louaize and is hoping to win this game.
