Regular Season Round 34: Saitama Bron. - Yokohama BC 60-80

Very expected game when 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (3-25) were smashed at home by sixth ranked Yokohama BC (16-14) 80-60 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Yokohama BC's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-11 extending their advantage to 20 points. Yokohama BC outrebounded Saitama Broncos 52-32 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for Panamanian-American forward Jordan Henriquez (214-89, college: Kansas St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds. American forward Carl Hall (203-89, college: Wichita St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Taketo Aoki used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Guard Janya Masumoto (183-88) replied with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Mitsuhiro Kamezaki (189-86) added 20 points in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Yokohama BC have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 16-14 record. Saitama Broncos lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 25 games lost. Yokohama BC will face Shinshu BW (#10) in Nagano in the next round. Saitama Broncos will play on the road against Niigata Albirex and hope to win that game.
