Regular Season Round 16: Al-Qazeres - ADBA 79-45

Leader Al-Qazeres delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they crushed 14th ranked ADBA (1-15) 79-45 in Caceres. The game without a history. Al-Qazeres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ADBA to just 7 points in first quarter. Al-Qazeres dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to ADBA's 18. Al-Qazeres forced 22 ADBA turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Veronica Sanchez (179-85, agency: Regeneracom Sports) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Al-Qazeres' coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Laura Martinez (170-88) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Andrea Malanda (164-90) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for ADBA. Al-Qazeres have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 15-1 record. ADBA lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 15 games lost. Al-Qazeres will play against Badajoz BF (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ADBA will play against Oviedo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
