Regular Season Round 34: Bambitious Nara - Shiga L-Stars 75-88

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (19-9) beat on the road 9th ranked Bambitious Nara (9-18) 88-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shiga L-Stars. Bambitious Nara was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shiga L-Stars shot 21 for 29 from the free-throw line, while Bambitious Nara only scored four points from the stripe. Quite impressive performance for Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. American swingman Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St.) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists and American guard Charles Hinkle (196-88, college: American) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bambitious Nara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Akita NH. Loser Bambitious Nara keeps the ninth position with 18 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face Oita Heat Devils (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bambitious Nara will play against Hamamatsu Phoenix and hope to win that game.
