Regular Season Round 24: Eidsvoll - Fyllingen BBK 89-102

Bottom-ranked Eidsvoll (0-16) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to tenth ranked Fyllingen BBK (4-12) 102-89. The game was mostly controlled by Fyllingen BBK. Eidsvoll was better in fourth quarter 27-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fyllingen BBK dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Eidsvoll's 44. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American forward Calvin Henry (198-86, college: Mercer) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Harold Jenkins (, college: Fond du Lac) supported him with 28 points. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds by Nigerian-American forward Joseph Nwabuzor (192-85) did not help to save the game for Eidsvoll. American forward John Groover (194) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Fyllingen BBK maintains tenth position with 4-12 record. Eidsvoll at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings. Fyllingen BBK will play against higher ranked Froya Basket (#5) in Laksevag in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Eidsvoll will have a break next round.
