Regular Season Round 36: Liaoning H. - DongGuan L. 109-93

Leader Liaoning Hunters delivered the twenty ninth victory. This time they beat 11th ranked DongGuan Leopards (17-19) 109-93 in Yingkou. It looked good early as DongGuan Leopards took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Liaoning Hunters had a 36-22 second period charge getting the lead and DongGuan Leopards were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 93-109. They outrebounded DongGuan Leopards 52-28 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liaoning Hunters players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and the former international forward QuAn Gu (202-92) added 23 points in the effort for DongGuan Leopards. Five Liaoning Hunters and four DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Liaoning Hunters (29-7) have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position. DongGuan Leopards at the other side keep the eleventh place with 19 games lost. Liaoning Hunters will play against TianJin Steel (#18) in Tianjin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. DongGuan Leopards will play on the road against North Control (#15) in Beijing and hope to get back on the winning track.
