Very predictable result in Hangzhou where eighth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (21-15) beat 19th ranked Bayi Rockets (7-29) 93-81 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Bayi Rockets were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) who scored 47 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The former international center Dayu Zhang (212-91) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) who recorded 25 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Shuo Han (196-86) added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank maintains eighth position with 21-15 record. Bayi Rockets lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth place with 29 games lost. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will face Jiangsu Dragons (#10) in Nanjing in the next round. Bayi Rockets will play at home against Shandong Bulls (#4) and hope to win that game.
