Regular Season Round 36: Jiangsu D. - Sichuan BW 104-106

Ninth-ranked Jiangsu Dragons (18-18) made lots of trouble for second ranked Sichuan BW (28-8) in Nanjing on Sunday. The visitors from Sichuan managed to secure only two-point victory 106-104. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Jiangsu Dragons. The guests trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. Sichuan BW made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) who scored 43 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) who recorded 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard XueFeng Hu (185-80) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists respectively. Five Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Sichuan BW have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 28-8 record behind leader Liaoning H., which they share with Xinjiang FT. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the ninth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Shanxi Zh.. Sichuan BW is looking forward to face Jiangsu TX (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#8) in Hangzhou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
