Regular Season Round 34: Kanazawa Samuraiz - Takamatsu FA 72-64

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Takamatsu FA (8-20) lost to seventh ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (17-15) in Ishikawa 64-72 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 44-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Kanazawa Samuraiz made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Kanazawa Samuraiz have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 17-15 record. Takamatsu FA lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 20 games lost. Kanazawa Samuraiz will face higher ranked Osaka Evessa (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Takamatsu FA will play against Fukuoka Rizing (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
